A bouquet of Anthuriums and a delicious fresh pineapple form my landlady, Lynn. She is quite an extraordinary lady...about my age, she is an artist whose works are on display in two art galleries here in Hilo, she is a published author, gifted me one of her books and I couldn't put it down, she is a musician, does stand-up comedy and her first love is her ranch where she raises Paint horses. She has been so gracious to me since we met. She took me to the biggest celebration in Hilo the night I moved in: Black and White night...a night of art and music throughout the town. Most dressed in black and white, but like any place, others chose different attire! Had some great eats...met a lady from Ky. who has been here 20 years. Wonder why she doesn't want to go back to Ky? We had a great night, Lynn has made me feel welcome, shared her fame as a selected artist and photographer with me...even took me to the grocery store. She has lived on the Big Island all her life but she says "I am still a hoali! (name given to we mainlanders)
I have angels looking out for me, they found Lynn and her beautiful place where I now live!
