FLOWERING TREE...

The Jacaranda Mimosifolia, also known as Fallen Flowers, and that's exactly how I discovered it.  Walking to my cabana, I kept seeing these lovely blueish blooms all over the ground but I couldn't figure out where they were coming from.  So I decided one day to stand there and keep looking for the source...found them, right over my head, high up in the tree.  Native to South America, they were naturalized here, invasive, much like our own Mimosa.  Literature says they are grown in Southeastern U.S....never have seen one.  They have a delightful scent which seems to be most prominent at night.
